Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Braineetech's products and services, including MagicHub, Sectora, CompliOne, VeraID, and CloudVera (collectively, the "Services"). This policy is designed to protect our Services, our customers, and the broader internet community.

By using our Services, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your access to our Services.

2. General Conduct

When using our Services, you agree to:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Respect the rights and privacy of others
  • Use our Services only for lawful and authorized purposes
  • Follow our Terms of Service and all applicable policies
  • Report any suspected violations of this policy

3. Prohibited Activities

  • Conducting network attacks (DDoS, port scanning, packet sniffing)
  • Bypassing or circumventing security measures
  • Exploiting vulnerabilities without authorization
  • Credential theft, phishing, or social engineering attacks

3.3 Abuse of Services

  • Using our Services to send spam or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Harvesting email addresses or personal information without consent
  • Creating fake accounts or impersonating others
  • Overloading or disrupting our infrastructure
  • Reselling or redistributing Services without authorization
  • Using automated tools to access Services in violation of our terms

3.4 Harmful Content

  • Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or hate speech
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation content
  • Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Defamatory, harassing, or threatening content
  • Content designed to deceive or defraud
  • Malicious or deceptive software distribution

3.5 Privacy Violations

  • Collecting personal data without proper consent or legal basis
  • Sharing personal information without authorization
  • Violating data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Unauthorized surveillance or tracking

4. Product-Specific Guidelines

4.1 MagicHub

When using MagicHub for application development:

  • Do not use the platform to build applications that violate this AUP
  • Implement proper security controls in your applications
  • Respect rate limits and resource allocations
  • Do not expose sensitive credentials or API keys

4.2 Sectora

When using Sectora for security testing:

  • Only scan systems you own or have explicit authorization to test
  • Do not use scan results to exploit vulnerabilities in unauthorized systems
  • Report critical vulnerabilities responsibly
  • Do not share scan results containing sensitive information publicly

4.3 CompliOne

When using CompliOne for compliance management:

  • Ensure data processed through the platform is handled according to applicable regulations
  • Do not input false or misleading compliance information
  • Maintain accurate records and audit trails

4.4 VeraID

When using VeraID for identity management:

  • Properly secure all credentials and secrets managed through the platform
  • Implement appropriate access controls and rotation policies
  • Do not use the platform to manage credentials for malicious purposes

4.5 CloudVera

When using CloudVera for operations management:

  • Do not use the platform to attack or compromise cloud infrastructure
  • Respect resource limits and fair usage policies
  • Properly secure any sensitive data processed through the platform

5. Resource Usage

To ensure fair access for all users, you agree to:

  • Respect rate limits and quotas assigned to your account
  • Not engage in activities that consume excessive resources
  • Optimize your usage to avoid unnecessary resource consumption
  • Contact us if you require additional resources beyond your plan limits

6. Security Best Practices

We expect all users to follow security best practices:

  • Use strong, unique passwords for your accounts
  • Enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) where available
  • Keep your systems and software updated
  • Regularly review and revoke unnecessary access
  • Report security incidents promptly
  • Never share account credentials with unauthorized parties

7. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to:

  • Include "AUP Violation" in the subject line

When reporting a violation, please provide:

  • Description of the violation
  • Any relevant evidence or documentation
  • Contact information for follow-up

8. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violations of this AUP. Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, we may take the following actions:

  • Warning: Notify you of the violation and request corrective action
  • Temporary Suspension: Temporarily suspend your access while investigating
  • Content Removal: Remove or disable access to violating content
  • Account Termination: Permanently terminate your account for serious violations
  • Legal Action: Pursue legal remedies for violations that cause harm

We will attempt to notify you before taking action except in cases where immediate action is necessary to protect our Services or users.

9. Appeals

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting us at hello@braineetech.com with the subject line "AUP Appeal." Please include:

  • Your account information
  • Description of the action taken
  • Reason you believe the action was incorrect
  • Any supporting evidence

We will review appeals within 10 business days and notify you of our decision.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
